Leonard's League 15/16 Week Three

The week is not over until the final game is played.  Case in point: Clitboner v. Vinegar Strokes.  By the end of Sunday's game Clitboner's team looked sad and floppy, and while Vinegar Strokes was done for the week at 73.04 points it didn't seem like Julio Jones and the Packers D could bring in 35 points.  Both team's kickers - Robbie Gould (for Clitboner) who went up against the Hawks and didn't even get to attempt scoring and Matt Prater (for Vinegar Strokes) who tried to score but failed - brought nothing to the table.  The Stroke's QB, Teddy Bridgewater, has so far had low scoring, odd numbered weeks, including this one.  Granted, there's only been 3 weeks in the season, The Strokes need to consider stroking their roster a bit to fluff up the performance.

Not in my Hauschka  made a poor move on Thursday when she dropped Vince Jackson and picked up Matt Jones.  She had faith in Jones, and decided to start him over Lamar Miller.  Ultimately, it was a bad call and she could have gotten 4 more points if she had just left well enough alone.  But Herban Fire made a decent call to pick up Not in my Hauschka's sloppy seconds with Vince Jackson.  Yesterday's meatloaf is today's Sloppy Joe's, and as Herban Fire will tell you sloppy Joe's are delicious - he won on Monday night with great performances by his two Chiefs (Kelce and Charles).

What an odd match.  Between Bout that Action and Victorious Secret four players scored zero points, three of them on Bout that Action's side.  Before Monday's game Bout that Action led Victorious Secret 88.8 to 67.82.  The Secret had a great performances from Randall Cobb (7 receptions and 3 TDs) and a pretty good one from Eddie Lacy; she managed to secure the win.  Neither coach was thrilled with their team's performances this week but despite the zeros, they kept up respectable totals for the week.  I'm betting these ladies make some roster changes come week 4.

Our high scorer of the week, The Eskimo Brothers, faced off against our low scorer of the week, Canning Queen.  Darren Sproles (24.50) Joseph Randall (28.50), and Julio Jones (28.40)  all made sweet love to the football with at least two TDs a piece.  Twice in one round?  I'd say that is worth noting in your Eskimo Brother Database.  Most of Canning Queen's players got her less than 7 points with two exceptions:  Jimmy Graham showed up for the Queen (and the Hawks!) with 7 receptions, 83 yards and a TD.  Jarvis Landry (12.30) dropped a pass that ended up as an interception, but don't give up yet Canning Queen, apparently Landry has really big hands...put that in your EBDB for future reference.

The Legend and Rozzie Square faced off in a high scoring match.  The Legend led Monday night- compliments of Adrian Peterson, who seems to be channeling his discipline problems into rushing yards and TDs; and Keenan Allen, who proves that even if he wants to one man can't carry a team (Allen scored both TDs in San Diego's 14-31 loss to the Vikings).  Rozzie Square, despite having a significantly heavier left hand, held her own against The Legend with a stellar game by Cam Newton (28.9) and solid performances from Larry Fitzgerald (134 yards and 2 TDs), and Frank Gore (2 TDs).  It came down to Jeremy Maclin's game on Monday night, if he could get over 10.44 points Rozzie Square would get the win - could he do it?  With 141 yards and a TD, I'd say that's a yes!

Bobbum Man ended his losing streak by taking down the Kiegl Titans 114.72 to 60.68.  A.J. Green blew up with a career high 227 yards, bringing in 34.70 points for Bobbum Man.  But, Andre Johnson didn't bring home any bacon at all, so there is still room for Bobbum to improve.  In a completely uncharacteristic move the Kiegl Titans started DeMarco Murray, who was inactive in Sunday's game.  She could have been saved if the rest of her team had decided to show up, but if you aren't counting the ex-duck Mariota (15.30), her high scorer,  Ted Ginn, caught 4/6 receptions for 93 yards...T.Ginn...MMMmmmm...Tanqueray gin...
