April 19th was the close of the 2012-2013 ski season, and we brought the camper up to enjoy it. The skiing was terrible, but the company was fantastic. It was such awful snow and visibility on Saturday that we gave up and had tea/coffee and an order of french fries in the summit house. Normally it has beautiful views, but all we saw was fog. Here is what the view could have been - we took this the week before.
After our mental check in the summit house we took a couple more runs and decided to call it a day. Instead we took Leonard for a long walk, it was much more fun than the day's skiing. Look how much fun he had!
We have been working on our repainting our living room for an embarrassingly long time. To be fair, every project we start on our house ends up being more of a refurbish, rather than the refresh we naively hope for. No matter how long it takes us, it is going to look SO GOOD! We are going to be putting Pergo up to cover the questionable 60s paneling, and we found the perfect color at Lowes. While we were there I found the coolest shopping cart. It was like a hand basket, just a little bit bigger. But, it also had wheels and a luggage handle! Call me crazy, but seriously...check this thing out!
I'm fairly certain I've messed up the timing on these posts, but check out my new toy! Thanks Dad!
Last week I came home and found that our small recycling bin, that fits perfectly in the garage, had been replaced by a gigantic brand new one. Most people would be excited to get a recycle bin that is double the size for the same price. Most people do not have an intricately planned, and organized garage with no floor space to spare. Understandably Josh was very upset about this development. So I decided to try and cheer him up.
It worked! He is fully on board with the new recycle bin! That is to say, he is enjoying it while we have it, because he made sure that they will be returning our normal sized one this week.
Hope all is well in everyone's world!
