The Good in the World

Its been a rough week.  We all know why.  Recent events have really brought home the bad things in the world, it makes me sad to think that what happened in Boston happens with regularity in other countries; it makes me grateful to live where I do.  I think a little reminder about The Good in the World, and a good laugh, is in order.

This one is pretty cool...I have no idea how he does this AND its gift that the man clearly appreciates.  I can't understand a word they are saying, and I don't think I need to.

This is why I still love Disney.  I definitely teared up.

This one is hilarious, it as at the expense of a guy who is hopefully (?) just having an off day...but uncontrollable laughter is always a good thing.  And in all honesty, if you create that type of reality show, you really are opening that door all on your own.

This one is older, but still makes me laugh.  Josh and I still quote it to each other - Go pick up all your floorbags!

My Dad sent me an email with a whole bunch of pictures for the "Plumber of the Year Award".  These three are my favorites.

Over at Steve Thomas's page, you will find a whole bunch of really cool, retro-style art.  I particularly love this one.  Josh and I are taking Leonard and the camper up to Crystal this weekend to make our own version of this poster.

Hope you enjoyed the break!  We have a couple breaks of our own planned.  About 3 weeks ago I bought tickets to visit my best friend, Belle.  She is a traveling nurse, and currently works at an E.R. in Boston.  So, on Thursday, I'm off to visit her.  I'll make sure and post about that when I get back.  Then On May 9, Josh and I go to Kauai!!!  You can bet there will be at least one picture filled post on that!

***UPDATED***  I redid this post to put the awesome Native singing after the break because I could not figure out how to stop the auto play feature.  Anyway, enjoy these super cool guys after the break!

I love listening to Native American singing.  I think it is beautiful and moving.  I had the opportunity to attend a friend's wedding a few years back, and witnessed an amazing tradition.  He is a Tulalip Indian, and all of the men in his family sang their family's traditional song at the beginning of the reception.  I love seeing that type of tradition, from any culture, carried forward and evolve, as it does in the clip below.
